Hello, we have a stink bug infestation problem at our 1 year old camper that is on a seasonal site in PA. I was going to try and get rid of them using Bithor. The unit is primarily white. Will this product stain the exterior of the camper? Thanks in advance.
BITHOR won’t stain or even leave much of a residue so no worries if you want to spray the homes siding. In general, it will kill well when first applied BUT after a day or two, expect to see more coming around. This is by design which makes Bithor a great choice for use inside the home.
But for the outside of the camper, our MAXXTHOR would be your best solution. It too will kill when first applied BUT it does a great job of repelling them too. This is important for certain pests – especially fall invaders like LADYBUGS, BOXELDER BUGS or STINKBUGS.
Use it with our GREEN TOPPED HOSE END SPRAYER as shown in this video:
As you can see in the video above, the Green Topped Hose End lets you remove the tip so you can spray as high as your garden hose can reach. This is important when treating for Stinkbugs on tall structures.
One good treatment should keep them off the camper for a week or two but prepared to spray again as needed. Once anything gets “marked” with their scent, it will be targeted by them for years unless you keep on spraying for as long as they’re finding it.
And here is the best Hose End Sprayer to use when treating.
Now as a reminder, once these guys start targeting your camper, they’ll be leaving their scent on it. For this reason, its most likely they’ll keep trying to get inside after you spray so be prepared to spray more than once.
Also, on the inside, treating all doors and windows with FS MP AEROSOL will really help. It comes with a straw like injector that will enable you to get the product where its most needed like voids, open spaces and hidden areas where stink bugs like to nest and group.
So in our experience, we feel it would be best if you treated the inside of the camper with the FS MP first and then sprayed the exterior. This would insure the Stink Bugs don’t migrate deeper into the camper which could happen if you sprayed the Maxxthor first.
