I’m on your website about to place an order and want to know what sizes I should get. I heard about you from a neighbor who had bad clover mites and got rid of them with your spray and granules. I see now you have some new kind of sprayer I need because they’re coming out of my baseboards bad. I’m on a slab, new home less than a year old too. So i was going to get the granules and spray for outside but can’t I just use it inside too or do I need the Bithor. I see the Bithor is in quarts but the Maxxthor comes in a few sizes and I have a bad problem so I might just get the big size. I’m on a an acre lot and the home is a two story , about 3000 square feet. Right now they’re just coming in at the front door and along that wall, front of the house.
So to start, plan on using the MAXXTHOR GRANULES once a month. Treatments should start at the base of the foundation and come out about 10-15 feet into grass, flower beds, etc. with the goal being to create a clover mite free zone. This treatment is the only one that will release like clockwork and why retreating monthly is strongly suggested. Most homes will require at least 2-3 jugs a year but we have many customers using more.
You didn’t mention the homes siding but the MAXXTHOR EC and BOOST should stop them from foraging on the siding. Plan on retreating as often as is needed which may require more than once a week for the first week or two. This means you should plan on using 16-32 oz at least so the quart would be the smallest size you should get. If the siding is anything that’s layered like vinyl, cedar shakes or batten board, plan on using the POWER INJECTOR with Maxxthor to treat every gap, crack, crevice and space you can find. This won’t require a lot of chemical, its more about the time you’ll need to invest, but if you treat them where they’re nesting you will really see a huge improvement.
CLOVER MITES DON’T WANT TO BE OUT IN THE OPEN AND WILL OFTEN TIMES THRIVE BEHIND HOME SIDING IF GIVEN THE CHANCE! GET THESE AREAS TREATED WITH MAXXTHOR AND BASE OIL TO MAKE IT UNINHABITABLE!!
Remember, adding Boost will help the Maxxthor penetrate when spraying, especially on plants and the ground, so be sure to add that to the tank mix. Clover mites are a very stubborn persistent pest and if you aren’t delivering your treatment where they’re nesting, they’ll just keep coming out so you’ll keep seeing new ones even if they’re aren’t able to spread because you’re surface spraying.
As for inside; the BITHOR is odorless and can be surface sprayed on baseboards, around windows and even walls. It will stop the mites from spreading and we recommend sticking with it for inside treatments. You can also use it in the Power Injector to treat under BASEBOARDS and around WINDOWS and DOORS where mites love to nest.
You can also use the “fan” pattern nozzle on the power injector to surface treat so you won’t need to make a mess inside when spraying. The Power Injector is well suited to handle both the inside surface spraying AND the crack and crevice treatments using the Injection Tube for under baseboards, around doors and windows.
Based on how new your home is, you should have a good chance of reaching their nests and getting rid of every mite that might be living inside. When homes are constructed over soil that’s filled with pests like ants, springtails or clover mites, its only a matter of time before they invade. And spring is usually when this happens like you’re seeing now. The good news is that you’re taking a pro-active stance and trying to get on top of the issue now, before it gets established. Spring treatments for these foraging pests, especially the small ones that like to live in hidden spaces, can really help control them.
