Frogs are common throughout the world. There are over 85 species here in the United States. The most common species include treefrogs, toads and bullfrogs.
Tree frogs and bullfrogs are most common where there is adequate water for their survival and reproduction. Toads are more prevalent where it is dry. Though treefrogs are considered beneficial because they eat insects, in some cases local populations can become a nuisance.

FROG PROBLEMS ON THE HOUSE
Frogs can become a problem when they start nesting on the home and their droppings begin piling up on window sills, decks, patios and other areas around the home.
Some species can make a lot of noise and many people are frightened of frogs much like people are frightened of snakes.
In general, most frogs are non toxic but we do have several species here in the United States that carry either bacteria/virus or they can release excretions which pose a hazard to pets and people.
Pets are usually the first to be affected, especially dogs who are naturally curious and eager to take a sniff or lick. This can lead to adverse reactions such as inflamation, rashes and worse, some form of anaphylactic shock.
To manually remove frogs is smart; use a rubber glove/surgical gloves when handling and try to determine if there is a nearby supply that is generating the population you’re finding.
If you have a steady flow of frogs coming onto your property, you’ll need to spray using one of the products below.
SPRAY THE HOME AND YARD TO REDUCE FROG FOOD
Since there is no such thing as a “frog bait” to control local populations, the best way to repel them and keep them away is to take away their food.
The strongest spray for the sides of the home and the ground is our MAXXTHOR EC.
Add 3 oz to our 6 GALLON HOS END SPRAYER, hook it to your garden hose and spray down the sides of the home and ground.
This treatment will both kill off frog food AND repel frogs since they don’t like this chemical.
You can also use a standard PUMP SPRAYER to apply the Maxxthor; add 1 oz per gallon of water. Just remember it will take a good 2-3 gallons of mixed solution to treat even a small home from the ground up the siding to the gutters..
BEST FROG REPELLENT SPRAY
Using the Maxxthor listed above will no doubt help reduce if not force frogs to go elsewhere as they’ll need food to survive.
But if you don’t feel like using an insecticide, we have an organic spray option that works immediately on frogs and will both chase them off the home and out of the yard.
SPRAY PEST AWAY FROG SPRAY
PEST AWAY SPRAY is essentially nothing but plant oils in a super concentrated form.
Pest Away won’t harm wildlife, insects, birds, pets, etc. but due to it being so concentrated, it makes frogs “wary” of treated areas.
The feeling of being uneasy and alarmed about the area/treated plants will make them not want to rest where its been applied. This makes Pest Away a great way to naturally repel unwanted pesky animals and insects.
Our 8 oz jar mixes 2 oz per gallon of water and will treat up to 500 sq/ft of plants when treating for deer control.

I have a serious phobia of frogs and the apartment I just moved to has them around the walk ways. I have a fear of leaving my house and run kicking and screaming when I see one. I need a repellent that will keep them away!!!
Tech Support says
Go with the Pest Rid Granules and Spray. First, apply the granules where you don’t want the frogs to be.

Next, spray over the top wit the Spray. Most treatments will last a month or more.

Does this product really chase frogs away? I do not have a pond but have a frog that is driving me crazy! Outside my bedroom .. I have cleared all moisture retaining things but he is still there! And noisy!
I have never seen him.. cannot find him .. he moves along the house from time to time..
even in the heat..
I want this pest GONE! before I get more!
PLEASE HELP?
I have lots of mature rhododendron plants all along the house but they are well trimmed..but I don’t want to use something which would kill them!
Thanks
Jeanette

Pest Rid will definitely chase away this annoying frog and it’s perfectly safe to apply to use on the home and any plants. That means if you think he’s in the rhododendron, you can spray it without undue hazard.
I also suggest you apply the granules around the home first. Next, spray the ground, the house siding and any plants you thing he might be using for shelter. This “1-2” punch should insure you’ll have his hiding place covered.

Is this safe around dogs?
Tech Support says
Absolutely. Made with food grade actives, it poses no hazard to people, pets or even the frogs. But due to the high concentrate of active, some animals like amphibians, reptiles and small rodents find the treatment offensive and it keeps them away. I have a rock garden with a toddler walking bridge and a small garden bench. Frogs and snakes have made their home underneath both and I have to keep regularly checking by lifting them up to see if there are any frogs and/or snakes. This is not an easy task as both garden items are heavy. My 2 year granddaughter plays on the bridge and works in her make-believe garden. I’m terrified that she will be harmed or startled so can you please tell what I can use on the river rocks and keep the area safe. Thank you.
Tech Support says
Susan,
This is and easy one. Get our Pest Rid Granules and first sprinkle them out. Next spray over them with the Pest Rid Spray. This will keep all reptiles and amphibians away. You can read up on these above and order from above as well.
