Squirrels have nested in the engine compartment of my car. Also my neighbors car. Lots of damage.
What have you that can be put under the hood to repell them?
Thanks
Squirrels in engine compartments may chew wires, hoses and other vital components of your car. Other animals that do the same are RATS and CHIPMUNKS. Regardless of the culprit, if you allow them to have access to this space you’ll no doubt accumulate extensive damage to the area.
To stop damage from happening, you’ll need to remove the animals from the area. The simplest way to do this will be to employ one of the LIVE TRAPS we have featured in our SQUIRREL CONTROL ARTICLE. This process will be easy since you know where they’re nesting. But since their smell and odor will linger, expect more squirrels to come around if the area is left unprotected.
To stop new squirrels from coming around, set out a TRANSONIC REPELLER. This device can be placed in the engine compartment and when kept running, will stop any animal like a squirrel, rat or chipmunk from nesting in the space.
