I’ve had pest service and been spraying myself for clover mites. also springtails but they keep coming back! my log home seems to have them coming out of the logs? are they eating the wood? these logs are mostly sealed on the outside but we have watched and they’re coming from small gaps and cracks. when we spray, they go away for a day or two but come right back. we also have pavers with some wood on top along the front side and it gets covered with them. we thought they were coming from the cement but then watched them come from where the logs lay on one another too. i did see your power injector and i’m wondering if that will help? just not sure how I can use it on the cement?
So first, springtails and clover mites will thrive under cement. And if you don’t treat under it as our CEMENT SLAB TREATMENT article explains, they will keep coming out trying to infest new areas.
That said, our MAXXTHOR EC with BOOST combo will stop them from spreading so you need to at the very least be spraying that on the ground 10 feet out from the home and then up the siding to the roof line.
Now since they’ve been migrating up onto the logs, they are no doubt nesting in all those gaps and cracks. Using the POWER INJECTOR, you’ll want to inject the Maxxthor mixed with BASE OIL. This will make those crevices unlivable by any insect AND it will kill them all immediately.
Both of these pests love to live on wood and specifically, where wood is either laying on cement or touching other wood. Basically in those gaps. Power inject every row to stop them from living there. The Maxxthor EC uses the smallest particle size of any insecticide which is critical for this pest. Basically it will penetrate like nothing else and in turn reach them where it matters. This is what makes Maxxthor superior to anything else for this pest.
