I have ongoing problems with pigeons and other birds getting under my car port. They make a mess on my cars. I’ve tried all kinds of pepper sprays but they just ignore them. And the blow up owl too. What have you got I can try?.
The easiest thing to do is to place one of our BIRD FLASHERS to the roof of the car port. One should do the job. It moves around gently and will be perceived by the pigeons as a threat. This will get them to avoid the area and stay away for good.
Use one flasher per 1,000 sq/ft and remember, they rely on “line of sight” to be effective. This means they must be able to “see” it.
Consider installing 1-2 on this side of the home. This way they relocate to the house just to avoid under the car port.
PIGEON SOUND REPELLER
The second option (if you don’t want a spider “hanging” around all year long”) is to install one of our SOUND REPELLERS. These use ultra sound to repel birds so people won’t hear them but the birds do. You can set them to work at night only, day only or 24 hours a day. They come with a power supply too so if you have an outlet on the porch, just plug it in and it will keep the area bird free too. We have these units made for us and they work great for a range of animals.
Setting one to go on all the time for the first month is what we recommend for pigeons. Point the device right at the ceiling where they’re roosting and this will keep them away for good. After they’re gone, you can program the unit to be on only during the day or only during the night or let it run all the time indefinitely. It only costs 50 cents a month to keep on as it draws very little power.
