Do you still sell the Fluorgard ant bait traps? Do you still recommend them or has something better come on the market?
Fluorgard ant bait stations were discontinued a few years ago. Since then there have been several replacement baits that have come to market and as always, we have isolated the “best of the best”. Basically through trial and error, we’ve learned which ones yield the best overall results.
For a more complete explanation, these can all be seen in our ANT CONTROL ARTICLE but here’s the short list of what works well.
DUAL CHOICE STATIONS are about as close to the Fluorgard as you can find. They feature two types of attractants, work on virtually all ants, are easy to deploy and overall are a good bait to use.
MAXFORCE ANT GEL and OPTIGARD ANT GEL are gel baits which we believe can perform even better. They do require more work to apply but they’re still quite easy to use. As always, using at least two baits will insure quick acceptance and consequently, the fastest results. And our recommended “three prong approach” is no doubt the best way to go for long term control. This is explained in our article.
