PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: These devices are all battery operated and have different controls and different setups. Look through the detailed listing of these controls listed below to determine which model will best suit your needs. All of these machines can be used to apply either a scent based aerosol, an odor eliminating aerosol or an insecticide. The Model 1000 is the basic unit which is good for most applications where all you want is for the aerosol to be released in a consistent pattern. The Model 3000 allows you the most settings. It is clearly the most “configurable” model and can be set to skip certain days or go off as often as once a minute. The Model 2000 is in between the other two and probably the easiest to use that offers a wide range of settings. It’s the only one that uses a photo sensor which gives it the unique ability to monitor light which is then used to control it’s functions but it does not have nearly as much control over time guidelines like the the Model 3000.
For insect control, the CLEAR ZONE and METERED INSECTICIDE are the most common refills employed because it uses pyrethrin for an active which is effective on any insect pest. Set them up on the wall, wall unit, shelf, patio, deck, bathroom kitchen, garage, crawlspace or anywhere flying pests are a problem. One machine will cover up to 400 sq/ft and is small enough to placed discreetly in any environment.
Units measure 9″ tall by 3″ wide by 4″ deep and should be set at least 4-6 feet off the ground; 8-12 feet high is ideal for most situations.
MODEL 3000: This model looks exactly the same as the Model 1000 but it has an extensive list of programming options and configurations. It can be set to release aerosol based on minute increments. In other words, you could have it release a blast every minute, every other minute, every 5 minutes, every 13 minutes, etc. You can also set it to go off every 60 minutes if minimal product release is adequate. Once an hour is the least frequent setting available; once a minute would be the most frequent setting available. This unit can also be configured to release aerosol on specific days or remain completely off other days. You can also set it to work within a certain range of hours on any day so you aren’t wasting product by having it spray some outside of the range of time you most need it applied. Over time, the savings in product use will more than pay for the extra cost associated with purchasing the Model 3000 since it costs more than the Model 1000.
Like the Model 1000 and Model 2000, the Model 3000 is powered by 2 “D” cell batteries you’ll need to purchase separately.

WHERE TO USE IT: Most commonly used in rest rooms, this machine can be used on decks outside, basements, crawl spaces and just about anywhere in the home. This unit comes in real handy if you have a persistent pet or dead decaying body odors throughout the home.

Hi,
My house has a crawl space and no basement and I am having a terrible problem with gnats and mosquitoes accumulating in the bathroom (that does not have an external ventilation as well). I don’t really know if all those are contributing factors to the “bug problem” but I need to find a solution. They are gross and extremely annoying since they accumulate in the shower, sink and tub (off all places!!!!). I think will purchase the automatic spray and the spray. Just wondering if you have any other suggestions. I also have 2 small dogs and I want to make sure if I install the sprayer in the bathroom that it will be safe for my dogs and me. Thank you so much for any suggestions you can offer!

The most common rooms in the home for flying pests like mosquitoes and gnats are bathroom and kitchens. And in most cases, its due to all the moisture found in these rooms more than moisture coming from other areas (like a crawl space).
Now since your problem is focused in the bathroom, it sounds like this is where they’re most comfortable so for now, I’d focus on that room and go with the aerosol machine.
Regarding safety; any of the pyrethrin based refills we list in our article can be used in this room without risk or hazard to you or your pets. Remember, there is only a short half second “release” when it goes off so in fact very little product will be present and nothing that can impact mammals. But flying insects are particularly vulnerable to the pyrethrin so you should be able to have a bug free room within 1 day of getting a machine installed. And if you keep the refills replenished, the bugs won’t be able to return.
In summary, I’m certain this will prove to be the easiest and best resolution. And if you start having problems in other areas of the home, you can install more machines. Each one can control areas up to 20′ x 20′ x 10′ no problem so many of our customers will have 3-4 throughout their homes during the warm summer months.

I am pleased with how these products work. I have to use them different then instructions say. I have the bugs so bad. They love the sinks and by the laundry, bathtub. Actually they are every where. I see them mostly by liquids, some foods. They come out from under the cupboards. They go around every where. I put 2 machines near my bathroom drain, WOW! It took awhile without a shower but it helped eliminate them. I wish I had more although I have to save up the money. Thanks to Bugspray.com!!
