PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Battery operated device which releases a combination of plant oils which effectively “stick” to the olfactory sensors of mosquitoes and other biting insects (insects searching for blood). This “sticking” of odor effectively prevents them from being able to track a blood meal since they won’t be able to follow the trail of Co2 and octenol – two gases which people exhale and mosquitoes track to find food.
Each unit runs off 2 “AA” batteries (batteries included) and hold a single cartridge which release a product called Conceal. Each cartridge will last approximately 325 hours of “run” time.

WHERE TO USE IT: Outside where you want to sit. Such places include decks, patios, pool areas, front porches, water front property, etc. Basically, you can install a Blocker where ever you want to keep away biting insects.
RATE OF APPLICATION: Blockers can protect up to 64 sq/ft (an area measuring 8 feet by 8 feet) but in general, keeping at least 1 on either side of where you want to sit will prove effective.
For example, if you have a deck that is 10 feet out and 20 feet wide, plan on using 2 blockers. Locate one to the far right and one to the far left and you should be good. That said, a deck of this size would be around 200 sq/ft so you may need a third unit – especially if the deck is at ground level OR surrounded by thick vegetation likely to harbor mosquitoes. Conversely, if the deck is elevated 10 or more feet off the ground with no vegetation, 2 blockers should be enough to get the job done.
