I have an older but expensive piano that appears to have woodworms. I think your website calls them powderpost beetles. Can you please tell me which product I should be to treat the bottom (unfinished) side of my piano?
If you review our woodworm control article, you’ll see there are several products that can be applied. But no doubt there are two “best” options.
So if you don’t think the issue is too bad, go with BORATHOR MAX PT.
BORATHOR MAX PT will penetrate raw wood and in doing so, you can reach deep into the wood where feeding larvae are causing damage.
The only key for the treatment to be successful is that BORATHOR MAX PT will only penetrate unfinished wood.
Apply it using a paint brush.
The only limitation with Borathor is that won’t kill pupae or adults. So if you have a bad issue?
Consider getting our BASE OIL and XEMPT CO or XEMPT EC.
Xempt CO will leave no residual but it’s 100% odorless and will kill all stages when applied.
Xempt EC has a cinnamon and mint scent that will evaporate within a few days.
