Hi. I have these teeny tiny little red mites all over my outside stones, walls, BBQ grill, everywhere. I don’t see them on my plants. Mostly on concrete and stones. Are they clover mites? How do I get rid of them? To be honest I’ve seen them every year since I’ve been in my house but this is the worst ever and I’m not sure why. I would really like to get rid of them one and for all. Help!
If you review our SPIDER MITE ARTICLE, you’ll learn this pest develops over time and after a few years will migrate from out in the yard to the side of the home and ultimately, to inside the home. At this point you’re on the brink of having them get inside living areas and rest assured, you don’t want that to happen. So avoid further problems, its highly recommended you start treating ASAP.
Now in our article you’ll see we recommend a concentrate called BIFEN. It mixes with water and can be applied with any standard pump sprayer. Basically you’ll need to spray the homes exterior along with all surfaces where you see them active. This will kill them as they walk over the treated surface and will help to keep them away. And by treating an area around the home at least 15 feet out and 5 feet up the side of the home, you should be able to establish a “spider mite free zone”.
