I used the the pest away spray to chase away iguana and it worked immediately but then they came back in about a month. Will the granules last longer? And if they do, will they work as fast? And what about the stake repellers? I read they don’t like the vibrations and I’m hoping the granules and the repellers will keep them out for good. Unfortunately I live by a wild area so it seems like new ones keep coming.
In general, the PEST AWAY SPRAY is best to use initially if you have animals like snakes, rats, frogs, etc. to chase them off. But it won’t last more than a few weeks so you’re right, the XEMPT GRANULES would last longer. That said, it won’t chase off active animals immediately like the spray.
Think of these treatments to be like spraying for bugs. If you have insects on the house siding and ground and treat, you get rid of them pretty good if you’re using one of our treatments. But more will come around after the initial treatment and so its most likely you will see some more bugs in the coming weeks and eventually, you’ll have to treat again. Well it’s the same with our repellents.
Yes, the spray works immediately but the granules will accomplish the same goal – it will just take a few days.
And if you reside where more pests are likely to come around, then they will most likely enter and hang out for a day or two before leaving too.
Now if you install some GROUND STAKE REPELLERS too, the chances of them leaving even sooner are increased.
In summary, all of these treatments work immediately BUT the spray will get the fastest results and be gone the fastest. The Granules will take a bit longer to work but will last twice as long. And the repellers will take the longest but will last several years.
And since you live by a wild area, you are subject to more coming onto your land on a regular basis which means keeping the treatments fresh and renewed would be smart. It also means you’ll keep getting new animals coming around who have to “learn” about the treatments and so it’s likely you could always have unwanted visitors from time to time. But as long as the treatments are in place, the should leave before establishing nests.
