PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: 100% Cottonseed Oil that’s odorless and used to suffocate wood destroying insects. It does this by penetrating the infested wood and wrapping up the unwanted insects.
Xempt C.O. works as a contact spray only and once cured (24 hours), it will effectively be gone providing no lasting residual.
Xempt C.O. mixes with oil solvents only, like BASE OIL, and when applied to unfinished soft or hard wood, your treatment will wick through the grain killing insects along the way. Applications can be made using a paint brush (well suited for large, open areas like studs, sill plate, table tops, doors, etc.), PUMP SPRAYER or POWER INJECTOR.
When the treatment reaches the target pest, it will surround and suffocate eggs, larvae, pupae and adults within 2 minutes and after one day, fully cure leaving no residual.
WHERE TO USE IT: Use it to treat furniture, cutting boards, tables, cabinets, statues, fences, decks, wood trim as well as structural members like sill plate, floor joists, rim joists, rafters, sub-flooring and studs.
RATE OF APPLICATION: Mix 2-4 oz per gallon of BASE OIL. Coverage varies by wood thickness.
For wood 1″ thick, plan on using 1 gallon of mixed Xempt C.O. per 800 square board feet.
For wood 2″ thick, plan on using 1 gallon of mixed Xempt C.O. per 400 square board feet.
For wood 4″ thick, plan on using 1 gallon of mixed Xempt C.O. per 200 square board feet.
COMPANION PRODUCT: Xempt C.O. mixes with oil based solvents only, not water. Known to be compatible with BASE OIL, use it in place of MAXXTHOR EC when treating wood intended to be used for food processing (like cutting boards, table or counter tops).

We have a very small area to treat…the inside wood of a trailer door. Some little insects have gotten in due to moisture and door not being properly sealed.
If we purchase the Pest-Xempt and Base Oil, is there some other way to apply it besides the fogger machines, such as a small spray bottle, etc? The fogger machines are too costly for such a small area.
Also, how long does this product continue protecting the wood?

So first, Xempt CO is for use in a pump sprayer, our Power Injector or paint brush only. It’s designed to penetrate wood targeting wood infesting boring pests or termites. So it’s not for fogging and based on your pest problem, not for surface treating either since it won’t provide any residual.
Have you visiting our Xempt C product page? This concentrate mixes with water only and can be sprayed most anywhere. It’s another “green” option and sounds like what you need based on where your pest issue is active AND what you want to treat.
