Have been treating 3 years consistently for clover mites. Still have them in 3 windows. Have treated behind siding multiple times, yard, +++. Any more recommendations? Help!
We have reviewed your previous orders and know your home is a single story, slab construction with vinyl siding.
The good news is you have been ordering the right products to control your clover mite problem. That said, due to your homes design, you have two big areas which are highly likely to be the crux of your ongoing problem.
So first, it’s important to understand that CLOVER MITES will try to live their lives hidden under rocks and where available, the bottom side of cement slabs. Since your home is in fact built on a slab, it’s most likely this is where they’re thriving. And during the spring/summer, their young will be hatching and migrating up and out into the open. This will lead to them nesting under BASEBOARDS, HOME SIDING and WINDOWS.
The first step is to POWER INJECT under the siding as well as under the baseboards, door thresholds and around windows. You should be able to kill any nests in those areas immediately.
But if they keep coming back after a few days, you’ll need to do more because it’s almost certain they’re living up under the slab. So if you don’t want to see any inside, you’ll have to deliver the MAXXTHOR as we detail in our article here:
Clover Mites are persistent and so surface spraying won’t stop them from emerging. And though BITHOR sprayed inside will kill them in a couple of days preventing them from expanding, you will still be seeing them. This happens because new ones will be coming out faster than the Bithor can kill the ones already visible.
On a side note, Power Injecting will slow them down and help keep their numbers reduced. But the only way to end the issue for good will be to get that slab treated as our article explains.
So if you’re goal is to not see any at all inside, you’ll need to kill off every nest and the most likely places will be under the exterior siding, under the baseboards and under the cement slab.
