BUGSPRAY NO PUMP 1.75G, 2.5G, 3G and 5G HIGH AIR PRESSURE SPRAYER W/30 FOOT REACH

BUGSPRAY “NO PUMP” SPRAYER DETAILS:   This High Reaching Sprayer is part of the Bugspray.com family of NO PUMP SPRAYERS that use very good, easy to set up and use engineering. No Pump sprayers can reach “up” over 30 to 35 feet, have no moving parts other than the valve you hold for spraying and the adjustable nozzle and can empty a tank with one filling of air. Safe for use with most all pesticides including but not limited to insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and fertilizers.

And with the optional 25 foot hose, you can reach up over 50 feet! It uses the same “no pump” pressure system and we offer them in a  1.75, 3.0 and 5.0 gallon tank.

NO PUMP DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHTS:  The 3 gallon weighs 6 lbs empty, stands 17″ tall and is 8″ wide. The 5 gallon is the same width, 8″, stands 25″ high and weighs 9 lbs empty. Water weighs about 8 lbs a gallon so the small unit is about 14-15 lbs when filled and has the hose/valve connected. The larger model with 2.5 gallons of water will weigh about 30 lbs with the hose/valve connected.

NO PUMP SPRAYER SHORT SUMMARY VIDEO

HOW DOES IT WORK:  The No Pump sprayers are engineered without pumps. So you don’t manually pump them and you don’t rely on a pump as part of their design to create spraying power. Instead you rely on air. And all you need to power them up a a good stand on bicycle tire pump, a hand pump you would use to fill a soccer, football or basketball or even a shop compressor. Any pump that can fit on a car tire can be fit on a No Pump so you can fill it will air after adding your tank mixture.

Once pressurized, the No Pump will spray out your mixture whether you want to reach up over 30 feet to treat wasp nest or your gutters.

The top of the No Pump has three parts. Once sealed, the lid is clamped on and the tank is then pressurized using the “in” port. The “out” port will allow our Spray Wand to connect so you can spray. The third port is a safety valve that lets you empty air or serve as a release valve in case you over fill it with air.

The top has 3 “ports” (pic below). The port to the far left is used to fill the tank with air. Using any electric air pump (the kind you would use the fill tires on your car), you can safely pressurize this sprayer up to 80 psi. The tank is rated for up to 130 lbs but the relief valve will only allow you to fill it to 90-95 psi rage before it starts to release. This happens to insure the tank is not over inflated.

As mentioned above, the lid has a relief valve which serves two purposes.

First, if you are filling the sprayer and don’t release you’ve reached 95 psi, the relief valve will release the air once so you don’t jeopardize damaging the tank which is safely rated to hold up to 130 psi. For our tests and high spraying needs, 80 psi will provide enough of a “charge” so you can spray up over 30 feet AND still have enough pressure to empty the tank of its mixture.

Pictured below is the safety valve that will auto release air if you over inflate. You can also use it to release air in case you run out of mixture and the tank is still pressurized. Of course you can just use the wand to release the unused air but this valve allows it all to escape in a fraction of time.

HOW TO USE THE NO PUMP SPRAYER:  Watch the video above first and then refer to this section for any details that were unclear.

1) For normal use around the home, 50-60 psi should be enough for you empty the tank assuming you add no more than 1/2 of the tanks capacity with water. So for the 3 gallon tank, add 1 to 1.5 gallons of water so when filled with 75-8- psi, it will empty with just one tankful of air. For the 5 gallon system, you can add up to 2.5 gallons of water and still empty it with one tankful of air. Of course, you can add more water to either but in general, this means you’ll need to add more air to empty it.

2) For reaching 30+ feet or higher targets, pressurize the sprayer to 80 psi and again, mix up only what you plan on using. While standing on the ground and reaching up, you can spray to heights over 30 feet. If you need to reach up over 40 or even 50 feet, consider our SKY-HY NO PUMP SPRAYER that has a hose allowing you to keep the tank on the ground while you climb a ladder.

3) When the mixture “runs” out, empty the air pressure inside the tank by holding the valve open OR using the relief valve mounted on the center lid by pulling on the circle ring. You’ll “hear” the air release within a few seconds. Once the air it all released, you can “unclamp” the lid and either refill or clean the tank and hose for safe storage.

4) To clean the system for storage, we recommend adding 32-64 oz of water, swirling it around in the open tank (no lid on) and then dumping out the mixture alongside the home. Do this twice. Now add 32-64 more oz of water to the sprayer and pressurize it so you can then pump out whats inside through the hose assembly. This will in turn purge the hose, get the tank mostly empty as well as the hose and valve so it can be safely stored. When storing DO NOT lock the lid back on. Leave the lid off so the tank can air out and dry.

5) The “white” quick connect ball valve has the air valve attached and should be fitted over the “in” pole on the sprayer’s topside. Use an electronic pump with a gauge for accurate measurement of how much pressure is in the tank. This ball valve should be removed after the tank is pressurized to insure it doesn’t get damaged when using the sprayer around the yard.

6) The hose/sprayer valve has a dark brown ball valve that fits on the “out” side of the tank. Ball valves can safely swivel without leaking air or mixtures. Just be sure to “drain” them when not in use as detailed above.

7) These systems come with a full 1 year warranty; not intended for corrosive materials like acid, vinegar, bleach or anything with a PH lower than 6. Same with anything with a high alkaline value like Liquid Lime. Using corrosive mixtures will void the warranty; that said, all moving parts like ball valves, air intakes, lid gaskets and sprayer components are replaceable.

In summary, this sprayer is well suited for anyone who would like to use a sprayer without having to continuously “pump” pressure into the tank. Its also great for anyone needing spray up high but has no need for a battery operated professional back pack sprayer that typically costs $800+.

Remember, this sprayer is really helpful for when you need to spray up “high”, like 35 feet or more and/or if you are needing to treat remote locations where you can’t drag a garden hose.

Now if you have strong water pressure AND a really long hose, our 6 GALLON HOSE END SPRAYER can use the power of your water spigot to spray up onto the siding of any home and is well suited for many applications. But you will need strong water pressure and a long hose to get the job done.

Conversely, our “NO PUMP” sprayer is entirely portable, durable and very easy to set up and use. For sure it costs more but compared to the commercial battery operated back pack sprayers commercial applicators use, this one costs half as much and is well suited for any homeowner or business person needing to periodic treatments.

BE SURE TO RELEASE AIR PRESSURE IN YOUR PUMP’S HOSE AS WELL AS THE SCHRADER VALVE QUICK CONNECT!

When using any type of electric air pump, it’s important to power it off/on to release any “stored” readings. Be sure to clear the hose pressure first. If the memory on any digital pump – especially the small rechargeable units commonly used on car tires – is stored in the hose, it will fail to pressurize your tank to the desired PSI and fall short because it was storing the old value and essentially won’t pump up the tank enough. Some pumps may clear this value and adjust automatically but we have encountered many that do not which in turn “appears” to be a tank that is not fully pressurizing.
