I have a small waterfall, pond in the back yard. I have gold fish and a red ear slider turtles in the pond. I need to know what to spray the black widow spider that lives in the waterfall and other bugs that are eating my plants.
The best safe option for use around water like streams, ponds and lakes is XEMPT C. This concentrate is made with all natural food grade actives and will not pose a hazard to people, wildlife or aquatic life in the pond. In fact its one of the only products that can be used over water and not be a threat to aquatic life.
Mix 4-8 oz per gallon of water and apply it with any standard PUMP SPRAYER. It will definitely handle the black widow spider as as well as any insect targeting your plants.
Xempt C is labeled for use over water like ponds and lakes so even if some was to leach down to the water, it won’t be an issue.
For small areas, a good pump sprayer will allow you to get the treatment completed.
But if you’re treating 1/4 acre or more, get one of our foggers. It will make the job easy and you’ll get 10 times the coverage. So one gallon sprayed with the pump sprayer will only cover 1,000 sq/ft. Using our fogger, you’ll get 10,000 sq/ft of coverage.

I am building a koi pond near my deck where we entertain. What mosquito and larvae killer can be used, also safe for dogs/pets?
Tech Support says
The Xempt C above is the best option for the land, plants, etc. around the pond. In a fogging machine, very effective and won’t hurt any wildlife or your fish. Its even labeled for use on animals as a dip. So if you are lightly misting around and over the pond on a regular basis, you will be able to control the mosquitoes adequately without posting a hazard to the water.

I have a bad infestation of whiteflies on several large plants in my small man made pond. Will Xempt C get rid of them?
Tech Support says
Nancy,
Sorry but no. Your best option would be to “lightly” mist the foliage with another product called Prothor. It will only last a week when applied topically but that should help to control the current activity. We also suggest you use it as a systemic to the soil around the plants where it will be absorbed and then end any whitefly, aphid or other nuisance pest issue on your treated plants.
