I live in a house with a crawl space under it. I know people dislike when I ask how do you get rid of lizards because they eat the bugs. Well, I’m afraid of them like I am snakes and mice and I’ve run across them while mowing the lawn so my question is how to get rid of all three that’s EFFECTIVE? I need your help please!!!!!!
If you read our LIZARD CONTROL article, you’ll see we list two repellents. These work instantly and will both chase away any lizard, snake or mouse in the treated area as well as keep them away for a month or longer.
So out in the yard and around the home, treatments with both PEST XEMPT GRANLUES and PEST AWAY SPRAY will last 60+ days (Pest Away spray used by itself, like on the side of the home, will last 30 days but when sprayed over the granules, a lot longer).
Now in a crawl space, these treatments will last 90+ days because a crawl space is more protected BUT due to their odor, we DO NOT recommend using them inside. Instead set out some of our LIZARD TRAPS to remove the ones there now.
But for the perimeter of the home and the yard, the granules and spray are the way to go.
Xempt G uses all natural ingredients at a dose lizards do not like. They have a distinctive “wintergreen” aroma and will last 60 days per application. If you spray Pest Away over the granules, you’ll get 60-90 days of residual from treatments so you don’t have to spray as frequently.
Xempt G is packed 4 bags to a box; each baggie is .5 lbs and will cover up to 100 sq/ft.
You’ll want to be sure the crawl space is first lizard free so plan on using the traps for a few weeks before initiating any “external” treatments. This way no lizards will be trapped inside.
And once you can go 2 weeks without capturing any on a trap, you can proceed with the granules and spray.
So once the granules are in place, you’ll want to spray the perimeter of the home and even some of the house siding where they’ve been seen. You can treat using any standard PUMP SPRAYER.
Pest Away is made with essential plant and tree oils that use a very “high” concentration. This is not “natural” in the wild and so they effectively chase away animals and insects from treated surfaces.
Pest Away won’t injure or harm animals or insects but they will notice it and not be comfortable staying where its applied. Basically its high level of natural oils spooks them. This is a natural reaction animals and insects have to many plant and wood oils so they avoid landing on it, eating it, etc.
Spray Pest Away thoroughly on the sides of your home, plants or targeted trees. This includes areas around trees, shrubs, flowers, vegetables, walkways, docks, roof tiles, pool decks, or any place where you’d like to repel an unwanted insect or animal.
For optimum results on wet areas like pool decks, docks, patios, seawalls, irrigated gardens, and other large areas, use one gallon of mixed gallon Pest Away per 500 sq/ft.
Add 2 oz of Pest Away per 1 gallon of water to start.
Followup 3 weeks later. After the second treatment, the targeted animal or insects should be “rerouted” to another place but if they continue to hang around, renew treatments as often as they return.
