Well I got the second mini mister from you Monday and then charged it for 2 hours, used it later that night and thought I was good. It worked for a whole tank and I got everything treated. Then I went to use it today but it was dead and after trying on my computer and my droid charger, it’s not working 🙁 I know you mentioned this is has happened to a few customers so now I guess I’m on that list. Is there any other option you offer to get my carpets, sofa and walls treated? I don’t like using a lot of liquids so the pump sprayer is not good. I did love the mini misters light coverage without making a mess and I don’t want to keep buying costly aerosols that don’t work. Bithos is so good and doesn’t smell I don’t mind using it all over. And it definitely works great. I’m thinking about trying a spray bottle, like from Windex or some other cleaner. I know you sell them but if there is another option, let me know.
So first, we’re not sure why this has happened to some customers. If we have someone report a problem with the first one, we then make that offer we emailed. Basically we will fully charge another new unit we have, run it completely out to kill the battery and then charge and re-test. If it completes these cycles, we are sure it works. And for most customers, this has happened meaning they get the second unit and use it with no problem. But now we have 4 homeowners who can’t get the second unit to work either and this is confusing.
We have consulted electricians who have told us that some homes can have surge protectors or electricity that is not meshing with the onboard rechargeable batteries the Mini Mister uses. These machines are made abroad and so there could be a hertz range issue. But here in our warehouse, we’re able to use an iPhone charger, a Dell laptop charger that puts out 60+ watts, our Dell computer USB ports (not front ports; only the ones on the back of our desktops work) as well as some misc. other chargers we have that are supposed to be in the 5-12 volt range. And the two “bad” second units sent back to us we were able to charge up and use so for sure, the customer was having an issue in their home meaning it was not the machine. Unfortunately we’re not able to duplicate this issue enough to figure out what is happening and paying a third party contractor to figure it out? Definitely not worth the cost.
As for other other sprayers that put out a similar mist; we have the POWER INJECTOR. Generally this tool is used to “inject” treatments through the long 4 foot red Injection Tube. But it comes with two other nozzles; one produces a medium mist spray pattern and the other, a fine mist. The fine mist is what a lot of people seem to love for walls or furniture. For carpets, the regular nozzle seems to put out enough to get the job done. This is true for use on baseboards too.
And since you already paid for the Mini Mister, we are willing to let you put that amount towards the Power Injector. If you don’t know about the Power Injector, check out this page:
As you can see, it’s very handy and with the misting nozzles, will easily replace the Mini Mister and then some. The Injection Tube can be super helpful for several pests and since you only need compressed air to power it up, they won’t have recharging issues or limited life when the battery runs out (there is none!).
Let us know if you would like to get one. We’ll email an invoice for $50.00 and that will cover the shipping too. In return, we’ll send out the Power Injector AND you can keep the Mini Mister so that if you keep trying different charging options, maybe you’ll get it to work.
Let us know by email if you want the Power Injector and on a related note, don’t give up on the Mini Mister. Try taking it to a neighbors home to see if it will charge there or maybe someone you know has a mobile phone charge pack you can use. Or maybe if you bring it to work and try there.
