PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Rigid hard plastic station designed to be placed in the ground around the yard. When termites find the included wood bait and start to feed, you’ll add the treated bait cartridge.
** EACH STATION COMES WITH TWO WOOD BLOCK LURES (seen below) **
Set out Stations with nothing but the included wood block lures to start. ONLY ADD TREATED CARTRIDGES after you have termite activity.
The treated cartridge will release a chemical onto the wood so feeding termites will bring back to their nests. Within 1-2 weeks, the nest will be killed.
*** THESE STATIONS ARE MONITORS DESIGNED TO ATTRACT TERMITES. INSPECT THEM EVERY 1-2 MONTHS. ONCE YOU FIND ACTIVE TERMITES, REPLACE THE TOP WOOD BAIT WITH OUR BAIT CARTRIDGE (SEEN BELOW)
WHERE TO USE IT: Outside around the home, in the ground, where termites spend their time foraging for food. Stations can be set in the ground, through holes in concrete, alongside wood posts, fences, flower beds or alongside old stumps and live trees.
Ideally stations should be placed where soil moisture is high enough to keep termites happy but not so moist that the station has standing water in them. Remember that concealment is always better so just under the mulch in a an island or flower bed like pine straw or wood chips is a great location.
To “unscrew” the lid, use the key. You’ll need at least one as they are NOT INCLUDED with the Bait Stations.
RATE OF APPLICATION: Stations should be set out every 5-10 feet around the structure when the home is not receiving liquid treatments. For homes that have been treated with MAXXTHOR or PROTHOR, bait stations can be placed every 25 feet.
*** NOTE WHERE ALL STATIONS ARE PLACED: DO NOT FERTILIZE, SPRAY LIQUID PESTICIDE, APPLY GRANULAR PESTICIDE OR PUT THE STATION WHERE IT’S LIKELY TO HAVE ABUSIVE EXPOSURE (LIKE PEOPLE WALKING ON IT) ***
1 Station (2 Wood Block Baits Included) (157791)(5-9 $18.00 ea)(10+ $17.00 ea)
Once you find active termites, replace the top wood block with a Treated Bait Bag. These solid “pucks” under the burlap slowly release active chemical down to where the termites are active but they won’t detect its presence. Within 1-2 weeks, the active will have infiltrated their colony and effectively shut it down.
