I have a back porch with an awning over the top. Birds fly through to get to a neighbor’s bird bath while pooping on our back porch and helping themselves to our dog’s food. Which product would work on the birds without bothering our dog?
I’d go with our ULTRA SOUND BIRD REPELLER. This device can be mounted 3-5 feet up, off the porch floor, pointed out where you want the birds to avoid. It won’t hurt them or the dog but the birds won’t like the sound it emits and will have to learn new flight paths. The dog might be curious about it for awhile but eventually figure out it’s just another sound to hear and will ignore it.
Within a few days you’ll see a lot less bird activity and ultimately, none. I recommend keeping it on as often as you can to start. This way it will affect them every time they do a fly by and they’ll learn to stay away that much faster by keeping it on all the time. Eventually you’ll be able to turn it to “motion sensor” mode but keep it on continuous run for the best results initially.
