PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:  Roach gels have a consistency that range from peanut butter to a “custard” texture like you’d find inside a doughnut. Once applied, they will maintain their shape and size without dripping and in general, remain attractive to roaches for several weeks. That said, using REFILLABLE BAIT STATIONS will double or triple their life.

Roach gels are odorless and when applied properly, should be hard to see. Placements should be small – 25% the size of a grain of rice – and spaced 1 foot apart in areas where roaches are active.

At this time we have many professional roach gels in the pest control industry. No doubt roach gels are the “go to” product when treating a cockroach problem in cabinets, drawers and other “sensitive” areas where spraying would be messy or difficult. The main reason is roach gel can be applied safely in any environment. Unlike messy sprays, you don’t have to empty cabinets or pantries prior to the application. But how to choose which brand to use? That’s where we come in.

If you were to talk to all the manufacturers, they would claim their “brand” is the best.  But when we test them afield, we find they all work well. And after years of testing and gathering data, the one thing we’ve learned is that the best overall strategy is to use at least 2 flavors. This insures fast acceptance, more of an impact and ultimately, faster control.

We also learned that roaches and ants like to forage. This means making more placements, spread out over the affected areas, will work many times faster compared to a few large placements.

For this reason, you MUST offer at least two flavors when starting your treatment program AND you should renew the treatments every 3 weeks until they are gone.. The biggest problem when using a roach gel is to use the same brand over and over. To avoid this problem from developing, we offer our line of gels in convenient 2 packs and 4 packs. WHERE TO USE IT:   Make placements in cabinets, under shelves, in the pantry, under sinks, around the dishwasher or refrigerator and even in the oven door. Be sure to make 25-50 placements in any room or area where roaches are seen.

We strongly recommend using some Refillable Bait Stations – especially when making placements in wet environments or where there is high traffic (such as people using the cabinets throughout the day). The stations insure the gel is well protected from dirt, dust and otherwise getting contaminated or removed by normal behavior of those in the area.

HOW MUCH GEL SHOULD YOU APPLY?   This varies with the level of infestation. For badly infested homes, apply at least 1/2 tube of 2 different flavors and followup 7-10 days later. That means you should use 2 oz (2 tubes) in the first month and if you still have activity after 28 days? Bait again. In general, by 30 days you should have applied at least 2 full tubes and in turn, killed most of the population. But young roaches do not feed for at least 5-6 weeks after they hatch which is why it’s important to keep your gel offering fresh for at least two months. And if the problem is gone after 60-90 days, plan on renewing applications every 90 days to insure they don’t come back.

For mild to medium problems, 1/4 to 1/2 of 2 different tubes should be applied every 14 days. By the end of 30 days, the problem should be just about gone.
