I have a house that I visit once a week but keep a car outside. It is a \”country\” home with lots of mice outside. How can I keep them from entering the car which I just started noticing they were entering?
There is a range of rodents that will target cars or trucks for nests or worse, chewing. Nesting will lead to odor issues and messes. Chewing radiator hoses and electric lines will lead to costly damage.
To keep them out, use our sound repellers and repellent spray.
Our weatherproof and most popular model for the yard can be used to protect cars, trucks and very specific objects as well as large open areas. For cars, just set our ULTRA SOUND REPELLER on the ground 10-15 feet in front or behind the vehicle and keep it on around the clock using the included power supply. It sends out an ultra sound people can’t hear but rodents can hear it loud and clear and don’t like it. It requires very little power to keep on and will repel animals like mice, rats, voles, chipmunks, squirrels and more.
We also offer an CAR ENGINE COMPARTMENT SOUND REPELLER. Its much smaller and designed to operate automactically when the vehicle is left alone. You’ll connect it to your cars battery for power and since it only draws .6 watts, it won’t drain the battery in any way (the average battery can power the unit for over a year).
The unit features an on/off switch, inline fuse and comes with cable ties so you can secure it to any part of the vehicle where rodents are nesting or chewing.
In most cases, one unit will protect the car but in some cases – especially if you have a large truck or SUV, two units might be needed.
Lastly, spray NBS over all cables, hoses and bottom side of the motor where you’ve had activity or suspect they might want to use. NBS uses all essential oils extracted from plants so it won’t hurt anything. But it is so concentrated its not “normal” to them and mice will stay away from where they “smell” it.
Mix 3 oz to a gallon of water and spray down the bottom side of the vehicle as well as inside the motor housing where a water based spray won’t cause issues. For sensitive areas, wipe them down using the solution and rag or sponge.
