I was in my front yard fogging for MOSQUITOES with my MIST BLOWER and discovered a snake under a tree. It was petty passive and didn’t move away when I tried to get it to leave. The problem is they seem to like hanging around my front porch so I used my SNAKE TONGS to capture it for the attached photo. Can you tell me what kind of snake it is?
Great catch! Looks like a common black rat snake. Generally they’re wary of people and will stay away unless there is a good food source nearby like chipmunks, rats or mice. To keep them away, set out some SNAKE OUT REPELLENT. The 4 lb jug can cover up to 200 sq/ft.
Treat once a month around the perimeter of the property to keep them out. Snake Out works on most any snake and won’t pose any kind of hazard to people or pets.
