PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Non drying glue which is used as a barrier over which crawling insects cannot go. When they try, they will get stuck in it. This product is generally used by applying a band of it around the trunk of a tree, bush or shrub. Insects trying to get up the plant will encounter the glue and get stuck. Its odorless and will last 1 month or more per application.
WHERE TO USE IT: Generally used on trees and shrubs, this product can be used for many application sites. Its best if applied over a some type of non-porous material like tape. For example, wrapping a tree with a band of tape like masking or duct tape to first create a band at least three inches wide is preferred. Once the tape is in place, wipe the Insect Glue over it lightly making a band which will go all the way around. This band will last at least one month and when the pest migration or invasion has slowed or stopped, simply remove the tape and all the glue and trapped bugs can be removed and thrown away.
RATE OF APPLICATION: Hard to say. In general, it only takes a light coating to get the right amount of glue on the tree or shrub so a tub is able to treat several plants. So for example, tent caterpillars will be stopped by a band as small as 1 inch wide so not a lot is needed.
